Our winter Community Involvement opportunity marks the 20th consecutive year that BLOC has committed to adopt local families for the holidays and the 17th year that this effort has been anchored by our bowling event! BLOC-N-BOWL BOWLING EVENTFor six weeks leading up to BLOC 'n bowl, teams of four will solicit pledges from friends, family and colleagues that will give to those less fortunate so that we can adopt & help local families. The signature event is a bowling tournament at 10 Park lanes on a Saturday in December, where all teams bring their donations, bowl and enjoy food and prizes. |

SHOPPING & WRAP PARTYStay tuned for more details. This will be determined by our area COVID Status. The shopping team will be given family profiles, names, ages, sizes, wish lists and needs lists so we can fulfill as much as possible with our donated funds. We will assemble volunteers at a specified location with all of the necessary equipment and supplies (wrapping paper, tape, ribbons, tags, food and spirits....and of course some tunes)! This is always a ton of fun and the more the help the better! |
